Frequently Asked Questions

Is this trip suitable for solo travellers?

Yes. The journey is designed specifically for people joining independently and travelling as part of a friendly mixed small group. Friends may also join.

How physically demanding is the trip?

Safari sections can involve early starts and long periods in 4×4 vehicles. Gorilla trekking can involve steep, muddy or uneven terrain at altitude, so suitable health, mobility and fitness are essential.

Is the gorilla permit included?

One gorilla trekking permit is included, subject to final availability, traveller eligibility and compliance with national park regulations. The minimum age is 15 years.

Are wildlife sightings guaranteed?

No. Expert trackers and guides provide the best possible opportunity, but all wildlife encounters are natural and sightings can never be guaranteed.

Can I have my own room?

Twin-share accommodation is included as standard. A private room can be requested for an additional supplement, subject to availability.

Which flights are included?

The scheduled internal bush flight into Tanzania is included. International flights and the separately specified regional flight between Rwanda and Kenya are not included and must be booked directly by each traveller.

What is the luggage allowance for the bush flight?

A strict soft-sided bag limit applies and is currently expected to be approximately 15kg. The confirmed allowance and any arrangements for additional luggage will be explained before departure.

Are visas and travel-health requirements included?

No. Travellers are responsible for visas, entry permissions and health documentation for Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. Personalised advice should be obtained from official sources and a qualified travel-health professional.

Is emergency medical cover included?

Emergency evacuation membership is included for the specified period. It is not travel insurance and does not replace cover for medical treatment, cancellation, repatriation or personal belongings.

Is my payment financially protected?
